We are Dedicated to Serving our Community!
Civitans help wherever the need arises – from collecting food for a homeless shelter, to volunteering at their local retirement home, to building a playground for children with disabilities. Civitans have been helping people since the organization’s founding in 1917 by a group of businessmen determined to make a difference in their community.
The Greater Loudoun Civitan Club has taken a special interest in supporting individuals with an intellectual or developmental disability and supporting the work of the Civitan International Research Center (CIRC) to understand and develop treatments for abnormalities of the brain.
A few of our ongoing projects include organizing social events like our Karaoke Dance parties at Our Savior's Way and Bingo at Spring Arbor Assisted Living Facility as well as hosting fundraisers to benefit local organizations that serve the intellectually and developmentally disabled.
We meet every month on the 2nd Thursday at 6:30 PM at Eggspectations in Leesburg, Va. Each month we highlight a local service, organization, or business that meets the needs of those we serve. We welcome you to check out our next meeting and learn more about what we do and how we help the community.
